We're pleased to report that NightRide was featured on Automoblog.net. Automoblog did a nice write-up about our system and highlighted some of the benefits. We particularly appreciated this bit:
"Unlike conventional night vision systems that magnify small amounts of ambient light, NightRide can operate in total darkness by using thermal infrared technology. Infrared measures the amount of heat emitted by people or objects to create a visual image of the objects ahead. Groce believes this gives drivers an advantage during the night."
As there are a few companies selling night vision systems for driving, all of which have the same fundamental limitation: They can only amplify light. NightRide can see heat, so it's (literally) operating on a different wavelength.
